Verva will discontinue operations
Verva, the Swedish Administrative Development Agency is being closed down as stated in the Government's budget proposal for 2009. The discontinuation of the agency means that commissions for which Verva is responsible will be either transferred to other authorities or wound up.
Verva's operations will draw to a close on 31 December 2008.
Sweden's EU Presidency
Responsibility for Verva's politically related matters during Sweden's EU Presidency beginning in the autumn of 2009 have not yet been established.
